SAVE THE DATE: JULY 7, AUGUST 4, AND SEPTEMBER 8

HOUSTON – Nett Lifestyle, a creative lifestyle consulting agency, plans to kick off the summer with its first ever three-part supper series benefitting the research at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center and Candlelighters of Houston, an organization supporting the families of children with cancer. The dinners will be held at Riel Restaurant (1927 Fairview Street) on July 7, August 4, and September 8.

Founded by Houston native Kevin Barnett in 2017, Nett Lifestyle aims to foster a deeply rooted appreciation for local brands, while also raising awareness for community non-profit organizations. For this summer’s pop-up series, Nett Lifestyle selected Candlelighters to create a unique and intimate culinary experience at one of Houston’s premier dining destinations. The night will include cocktail pairings, a live DJ set, a silent art auction, merchandise from local vendors, and an open chef table concept, with 40 seats available at $150 per person.

Barnett, who is a survivor of a rare form of cancer, realized a need for a support system when he was diagnosed with Wilms’ Tumor at just four years-old. It is through his own experience as a cancer survivor that he began to notice the emotional and financial impact endured by so many families. He kept this experience close to his heart as he set out to create Nett Lifestyle – a lifestyle consulting agency that specializes in experimental marketing and image consulting. One of the main tenets of the brand is to bridge the gap between small businesses, local businesses and established companies.

“The Nett Lifestyle platform has the ability to unify local artisans, brands, community organizations, opinion leaders, and makers by introducing them to new eclectic audiences,” said Barnett. “To me, it’s important that we do everything we can to cultivate an atmosphere that allows for small, grass roots businesses to shine. That is the drive behind Nett Lifestyle.”

Local Vendors such as Box Sparrow Studio will be on-site with handmade ceramics and various other local goods, which will be available for purchase. Additionally, guests will have the opportunity to participate in a silent art auction at each supper with featured artwork by Houston-based artists Lara Goodson, Eric Sandlin, and Donkeeboy. Musical entertainment will be provided by DJ Dayta, DJ Shanté with 93.7 The Beat, and renowned Houston artist, DJ Mr. Rogers. Rogers, who is known for his involvement with The Relief Gang and his regular DJ set on 93.7 The Beat, will cap off the evening festivities with a lively performance at the final Summer Supper Pop-Up in September.

Riel Restaurant will be providing an array of off-menu items highlighting local flavors, utilizing regionally-sourced products. Each course will be paired with a specialty cocktail created by beverage director Nick Nguyen, and alcohol will be provided by Uncle Nearest Whiskey,  8th Wonder Brewery and Highway Vodka. A different food and cocktail menu will be served at each dinner. Seats for the first Summer Supper Series dinner are now available – Guests can RSVP by visiting http://summersuppersdinner.com.
